The New York Times is raving about “The Hirschfeld Century: Portrait of an Artist and His Age'” the new book on the art and legacy of legendary caricaturist Al Hirschfeld. Says Alex Witchell, “With material like Al Hirschfeld, it is obviously hard to go wrong.”

The 40th annual Samuel French Off Off Broadway Short Play Festival will be held this upcoming August. 30 finalists have been chosen from the 1500 submissions, these 30 plays will be presented during a week-long festival August 6th-9th. The Art Students League of NY residency at Vytlacil is having their first summer exhibition, featuring over 30 diverse works from artists living in and influenced by the rich artistic culture in the lower Hudson Valley.
